About the program
Happiness is not one-size-fits-all. Each of us must create our own definition and find our own way to feel our personal best. That’s what Redesigning Happiness is all about. This group program for people with mild to moderate depression will guide you on a thoughtful journey to change your relationship with your mood and find a more balanced way of life.
What to expect
Led by One Medical providers and health coaches, this program consists of six 2-hour small-group sessions. You’ll learn effective mood-management techniques and work with our experts to create a plan of action for implementing them into your daily life.
Our community-based approach emphasizes developing a deeper understanding of mood and builds resilience in the face of the ups and downs of life. Sharing experiences and creating a meaningful connection to others doing the same reduces the loneliness and social isolation often experienced with depression. Built-in health coaching supports and guides you through the profound process of self-inquiry and the integration of those learnings into the group space in a productive way.
The topics covered include:
- Mapping emotions
- The impact of diet on mood
- Reframing of concepts and beliefs that contribute to feelings of depression
- The activation of behaviors that cultivate meaning, positive engagement, and a more balanced mood
- Wednesdays, January 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, February 3rd, and 10th
Time: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Where: For the time being, Redesigning Happiness will happen online, via a HIPAA-compliant version of the platform Zoom.
Each session is billed to your insurance as a virtual medical visit, and subject to payer policies and restrictions for telehealth. You may be responsible for your regular copay, coinsurance, or deductible owed depending on your insurance benefits. Please check your insurance policy or reach out to your insurance provider to better understand your costs.
