I am a patient-first physician. I was trained that way, and have seen the importance of keeping patients engaged on their terms throughout my career. Much can be accomplished when physician and patient work together. This means incorporating a broader set of tools beyond just medications and procedures, to include the growing tools of lifestyle medicine. Practicing medicine in this way has been very satisfying for me and my patients.
How I stay healthy and happy
I like to run, bike, and swim, and I enjoy hiking with my wife. My wife and I enjoy cooking healthy meals together, and these serve to keep me healthy. In my spare time, I enjoy wildlife and landscape photography, scuba diving, and fly fishing and fly tying.
