Nurse Practitioner, a degree for nurses who complete master’s-level training and board certification in order to practice medicine. As nurses, NPs bring a special sort of caring to their work. Alternate degrees include ANP (Adult Nurse Practitioner), FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner), and WHNP (Women's Health Nurse Practitioner).

By striving to offer an open-minded, relationship-centered approach to primary care, he creates individual care plans tailored to each patient’s concerns. Jess received his bachelor’s degree from Smith College and his master's from UCSF. Jess has special interests in HIV disease and transgender health. He is board-certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
