Apoorva Avutu, DO, MPH
New York
Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine, or DOs, are fully licensed and board-certified physicians who practice in all areas of medicine. DOs emphasize a whole-person approach to treatment and receive extra training in the musculoskeletal system called osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). DOs at One Medical typically practice in the field of family medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, or internal medicine, and may also integrate OMT.
I take a complete approach to my patients’ care; I believe in partnering with my patients and their families and approaching their medical needs with an open mind. I encourage people to take responsibility for their health while helping them meet their health goals, and I'm a huge supporter of preventive medicine. I meet my patients wherever they are in their medical journey!
To stay healthy and happy, I lead a very active lifestyle and enjoy running. I also love to travel and splurge on Broadway shows and cooking classes.
