Vanessa Villacorta-Sierra, MD
Doral
Doctor of Medicine, a common medical school degree for physicians. MDs at One Medical typically specialize in family medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics or pediatrics.
I love to connect with my patients with compassion and empathy. I’m interested in getting to know their story and learning what’s important to them and their medical care. I like to have a holistic approach to medicine taking into consideration body, mind and soul. While I am detail-oriented, I strive to make the patient experience relaxed and enjoyable. I truly believe laughter is one of the best medicines, so I incorporate it as much as I can! I enjoy preserving health and preventing illness. However, I am comfortable helping patients with more complex medical problems and finding ways to help them accomplish their goals. I try to promote healthy living via proper nutrition, exercise and mindfulness. My special interests are women's health, pediatrics, supporting healthy lifestyles, combining behavioral and medical care, and also provide comprehensive obstetrics care.
How I stay healthy and happy
I enjoy movement and nature. I dance about twice a week both Flamenco and contemporary music. I also do yoga and go for runs on other days. I meditate daily, using both guided meditation and transcendental meditation techniques. I enjoy reading about mindfulness and conscious living. I love spending time with my family and friends and love laughing with them as much as I can!
