I started my medical career in the fire service as an firefighter/EMT before deciding to pursue a career in medicine as a physician assistant (PA). I saw I could have a greater impact on my community through the practice of medicine and was inspired by several mentors along the way. My approach to healthcare starts with listening and truly getting to know a patients' concerns and desired outcomes before formulating a plan of care. Collaboration and understanding is key.

How I stay healthy and happy
I enjoy travel and seeing the world from a different perspective. I am fortunate to have spent several months living in other countries and always return home with new friends, memories, and understanding. I also enjoy surfing, weight training, and yoga. Fitness and strength training are the real keys to health and happiness. I am always up for a new challenge.
