Nurse Practitioner, an advanced practice degree for primary care providers who complete master’s-level training and board certification and who practice medicine independently. Education, safety, and prevention are the cornerstones of my nursing practice. I have experience in home health and usually take into account external factors that may be affecting the health of my patients. I initially approach patient care with the least invasive intervention first. This usually involves education on lifestyle changes and how it impacts mental and physical health. I enjoy educating and empowering my patients to help them achieve their health goals. I stress the importance of taking care of your mind in addition to your body. Mental health is imperative to living a life full of enriching experiences.
How I stay healthy and happy
Creating balance between work and play is key to health. Sleep, exercise, outdoor time, and hydration are foundations I start with. I am a busy mom with two toddlers! So I reserve "me" time before I go to bed and first thing in the morning. I enjoy taking my kids to the beach, socializing and connecting with my friends, playing sports (tennis, pickle ball, golf), listening to audiobooks, and spending time with my family.
