Nurse Practitioner, an advanced practice degree for primary care providers who complete master’s-level training and board certification and who practice medicine independently. Related degrees include ANP (Adult Nurse Practitioner), FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner), WHNP (Women's Health Nurse Practitioner), and APNP (Advance Practice Nurse Practitioner).
Education, safety, and prevention are the cornerstones of my nursing practice. I have experience in home health and usually take into account external factors that may be affecting the health of my patients. I initially approach patient care with the least invasive intervention first. This usually involves education on lifestyle changes and how it impacts mental and physical health. I enjoy educating and empowering my patients to help them achieve their health goals. I stress the importance of taking care of your mind in addition to your body. Mental health is imperative to living a life full of enriching experiences.
How I stay healthy and happy
Creating balance between work and play is key to health. Sleep, exercise, outdoor time, and hydration are foundations I start with. I am a busy mom with two toddlers! So I reserve "me" time before I go to bed and first thing in the morning. I enjoy taking my kids to the beach, socializing and connecting with my friends, playing sports (tennis, pickle ball, golf), listening to audiobooks, and spending time with my family.
