Nurse Practitioner, an advanced practice degree for primary care providers who complete master’s-level training and board certification and who practice medicine independently. I feel that most people need a healthcare provider that is willing to sit down and listen to what they say. Most have experienced providers who have already determined a course of treatment for their chief complaint and do not listen to anything they have to say once they are face to face. People do much better when you let them talk and as a provider, I truly listen to what they say. I partner with my patients to find solutions they are able to live with long term. I enjoy helping my patients find their own healthy way of living and getting to know them as a person, not just a patient.
How I stay healthy and happy
I try to do something meaningful to myself every day by spending time with my family (humans and corgis) and finding joy in the small things in life.
