Nurse Practitioner, an advanced practice degree for primary care providers who complete master’s-level training and board certification and who practice medicine independently. Related degrees include ANP (Adult Nurse Practitioner), FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner), WHNP (Women's Health Nurse Practitioner), and APNP (Advance Practice Nurse Practitioner).
I have been in the medical field for 15 years, starting as a nursing assistant. My passion for healthcare continued to grow, which led me to become a nurse, and eventually a Family Nurse Practitioner. As a Practitioner for the last 6 years, I have worked in primary care, urgent and emergent care, and Telehealth. Medicine is constantly evolving, and many people can face challenges when addressing their health. I enjoy educating patients on preventative health, while also being able to manage or help navigate their current health concerns.
How I stay healthy and happy
I enjoy spending time with my family and children. My hobbies include running, and working out daily. My passion for healthcare also continues outside of the clinic, as I typically read medical articles throughout the week to stay up-to-date with medicine.
