Richard LeBano, MD
Carlsbad
Doctor of Medicine, a common medical school degree for physicians. MDs at One Medical typically specialize in family medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics or pediatrics.
I was born in Camden, NJ, and did my undergraduate studies at Princeton University. Anticipating a career in medicine, I did my research on neuroplasticity in the hippocampus. While I was in medical school, I spent time in Spain and Argentina so that I could see other countries’ healthcare systems and work on my Spanish. I always knew I was a southern Californian at heart and moved to San Diego in 2016 after finishing my family medicine residency.
In my free time, I enjoy swimming, skiing, hiking, and otherwise staying active. I love to connect with others over travel, food, music, theater, and art. I sing with a few local groups, including the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus and Chamber Chorale. Finally, I enjoy reading and writing and participate in book clubs.
