Nina applies compassionate listening and a patient-centered approach to address primary care needs across a lifespan. She is an empathetic provider who is especially passionate about sexual and reproductive health, LGBTQI care, and preventative health. As an open-minded provider, Nina sees herself as a health advocate for patients. She facilitates space for patient's to share their concerns, review options, and select clinical recommendations that integrate their unique health goals. Nina is particularly skilled in contraception, sexual & reproductive health procedures, and gender-affirming care. Originally raised in Chicago, Nina obtained her degree from University of Illinois at Chicago and is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Upon her arrival to the Bay area in 2015, she provided care at a community-clinic aimed to increase access to transgender care. Her focused-training in postpartum care, adolescent health, and gender expansive care enables Nina to provide human-centered care for all identities and various stages of life. To stay grounded, Nina spends her time outdoors hiking trails, perusing bookstores, and learning about herbal and Mexican tradition medicine.
