Nicholas Cohen, MD
New York
Doctor of Medicine, a common medical school degree for physicians. MDs at One Medical typically specialize in family medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics or pediatrics.
I help patients take control of their long-term health with one goal in mind: longevity—not just living longer, but living better. I’m dual board-certified in family medicine and lifestyle medicine, and I take a proactive, evidence-based approach to preventing disease, extending healthspan, and improving your day-to-day energy. In every visit, I take a deep dive into your whole health—diet, sleep, physical activity, mood, habits, and environmental exposures—so we can identify what’s working and where we can improve. You’ll leave each visit with a personalized lifestyle prescription: clear, practical recommendations to support your long-term vitality and help you feel your best now. I’ve also designed a set of online videos and tools to help you make lasting changes between visits, so your care doesn’t stop when you walk out the door. If you’re looking for a partner in health who’s serious about prevention and passionate about helping you thrive for the long run, I’d love to work with you.
How I stay healthy and happy
I'm passionate about a lifestyle approach to longevity—and I practice what I preach. Staying healthy and happy isn’t about perfection; it’s about consistency, joy, and intention. For me, that means moving my body every day (you’ll find me walking to work, cycling, climbing, or on a yoga mat), making time to journal and meditate, and protecting my sleep like it's medicine—because it is. Cooking is one of my favorite ways to unwind and recharge. I’m always experimenting with new, longevity-friendly meals—ask me about my latest air fryer recipes! I also believe in the power of connection and community. I make time for the people I care about, volunteer locally, and never miss a chance to soak up the arts and culture of New York City. (My all-time favorite show? Hamilton, hands down.) Weekends often find me on a trail, in a kayak, or chasing the next outdoor adventure. I love helping patients build healthy, sustainable habits—and I’m always happy to share what’s worked for me, too.
