Doctor of Medicine, a common medical school degree for physicians. MDs at One Medical typically specialize in family medicine, internal medicine, or pediatrics.
One of my greatest joys is seeing my patients thrive and achieve their health goals over time - this is why I was drawn to primary care. To me, medicine is so much more than the prescriptions I write. Food is medicine. Movement is medicine. A kind word and feeling seen and heard is important medicine.
While my internal medicine training emphasized management of chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease, whenever I can help people cut back or stop medications via lifestyle changes is especially rewarding to me. My training in pediatrics also uniquely positions me to help people with childhood-onset conditions to transition to adult care with ease. Special interests include lifestyle/preventive medicine, mental health, eating disorders, and women’s health.
How I stay healthy and happy
I try to be outside as often as I can with my spouse. We love hiking and documenting our adventures with photography, running, mountain biking, yoga and HIIT/Tabata workouts! I also enjoy cuddling my two senior dogs, Ernie and Oliver.
