About Laurie
Colorado native Laurie Strasburger relocated from her small mountain town in order to bring more ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural diversity into her life and career. She chose to pursue primary care and urgent care in order to work with a diverse population and treat a multitude of medical issues. Laurie’s style is straightforward and honest, and she cooperates with patients in an effort to maintain long-term health, preferably through healthy lifestyle modifications rather than medications. “I believe that being a good listener and giving patients all available information and empowering them to participate in their own care has the greatest impact,” she says. Laurie is particularly interested in adolescent medicine, women's health, and preventive medicine. She loves mountain biking, trail running, yoga, telemark skiing, traveling, laughing, and smiling. Laurie completed the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center’s Child Health Program, and is NCCPA-certified.
