Katharine Peterson, MD
Oakland
Doctor of Medicine, a common medical school degree for physicians. MDs at One Medical typically specialize in family medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics or pediatrics.
I seek to help parents, families, and individuals find healthier ways to live, interpreting the medical literature as it applies to each person's life. I think it's important to seek a measure of grace for the bodies we have and find how to live in them with joy and purpose. I especially enjoy going on the journey of pregnancy and parenting with my patients, exploring what's known scientifically and what's just advice from a fellow traveler with the goal of raising happy and healthy kids. I also have plenty of non-parenting patients.
To stay happy and healthy, I try to get outside regularly in boats and on bikes, and I'm slowly trying to make my backyard into a farm.
