Nurse Practitioner, a degree for nurses who complete master’s-level training and board certification in order to practice medicine. As nurses, NPs bring a special sort of caring to their work. Alternate degrees include ANP (Adult Nurse Practitioner), FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner), and WHNP (Women's Health Nurse Practitioner).
I’m a family practice nurse practitioner (emphasis on care of the whole family) with a background in addiction medicine. Given my work with addictions, I also have a great deal of experience supporting clients with a history of trauma and mental health disorders.
How I stay healthy and happy
I’m a scuba diving fanatic and have a daily yoga/meditation practice. My heart is happiest near the sea.
