About Julia
Julia strongly believes in evidence-based medicine, but believes that for it to work, people need to be engaged in their own health. For that reason, she focuses on making sure her patients are well-informed about their health and treatment options. She's especially interested in chronic disease prevention and management, women's health, obesity medicine/weight management, and LGBTQ care.
To keep herself healthy, Julia does a combination or running, spinning, and resistance training and tries to eat a plant-based diet most of the time. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring DC and getting outside with her husband and kids, as well as cooking and baking. Julia earned her medical degree and a master's degree in clinical nutrition at Boston University. She completed her residency at Yale University School of Medicine and also served on the faculty there. She's board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
