Nurse Practitioner, an advanced practice degree for primary care providers who complete master’s-level training and board certification and who practice medicine independently. Related degrees include ANP (Adult Nurse Practitioner), FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner), WHNP (Women's Health Nurse Practitioner), and APNP (Advance Practice Nurse Practitioner).
What I value most in my career is the opportunity to empower patients through education and holistic care. Over the past decade, I have provided medical care in diverse settings, including emergency departments, federally qualified health centers, outpatient clinics, and telemedicine. I have also had the privilege of supporting survivors of sexual assault and violence through medical forensic care. My experience in global medical relief work—including in Ukraine, Türkiye, Rwanda, and Kenya—has deepened my commitment to culturally competent care and addressing health disparities. I am particularly passionate about preventive cancer screenings, trauma-informed care, and improving healthcare accessibility.
How I stay healthy and happy
Outside of work, I love exploring the outdoors, hiking, sailing, enjoying game nights with friends, and traveling with my husband and our small cat.
