Nurse Practitioner, a degree for nurses who complete master’s-level training and board certification in order to practice medicine. As nurses, NPs bring a special sort of caring to their work. Alternate degrees include ANP (Adult Nurse Practitioner), FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner), and WHNP (Women's Health Nurse Practitioner).
Heather embraces both the art and science of medicine, and takes great satisfaction in helping patients with everything from wounds and sports injuries to hypertension and diabetes. She puts patients at ease through her relaxed and friendly demeanor, honed through extensive nursing experience prior to joining One Medical. After studying environmental and occupational health at the University of Washington, Heather went on to earn a master’s degree in nursing from UCSF's Adult Nurse Practitioner Program. She has been practicing nursing since 2006 and is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
