My approach is direct, empathic, and grounded in over fifteen years of experience providing diagnostic assessments, psychological testing, trainings, and consultations to a diverse range of individual and organizational clients. As a clinical psychologist, I work with individual therapy clients on a short-term solution focused basis using empirically supported treatments especially Behavioral, Cognitive Behavioral, and Mindfulness. Sometimes I also utilize elements of Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, ACT, DBT, short-term psychodynamic, and the Stages of Change Model. There’s no one size fits all approach. The theoretical basis of my work lies at the intersection of mindfulness, neuroscience, and cognitive psychology.
While I work with a wide range of people and issues, I have special expertise in: Anxiety & Panic, Bereavement, Grief & Loss, Communication Skills, LGBTQIA Issues, and Stress
How I stay healthy and happy
I keep a daily yoga and meditation practice, stay social, play the piano, keep physically active outdoors year-round, and stay connected with the seasons.
