Dr. Hetzel received his B.S. in Biology from Abilene Christian University. Dr. Hetzel then received his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Via Christi Family Medicine Residency - University of Kansas Wichita. He served as a chief resident his senior year of residency. Dr. Hetzel is board-certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic manipulative treatment by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. One of Dr. Hetzel’s focuses as a family physician is promoting physical activity and overall well-being for his patients. His practice style is a collaborative effort between patient and physician to achieve optimal health. He loves spending his free time with his wife and five children. Dr. Hetzel loves to stay active with exploring Colorado’s mountains with hiking, camping, skiing, and exercise.
