Nurse Practitioner, an advanced practice degree for primary care providers who complete master’s-level training and board certification and who practice medicine independently. Related degrees include ANP (Adult Nurse Practitioner), FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner), WHNP (Women's Health Nurse Practitioner), and APNP (Advance Practice Nurse Practitioner).
I listen actively and intently to my patients as they express their health concerns, needs, and goals. I have a warm, non-judgmental, and knowledgeable approach where I serve as a guide for patients so they can make informed health decisions based on scientific evidence, my clinical practice experience, and their personal preferences. I regard most importantly the well-being of my patients in mind and body collectively and I strive to achieve patient satisfaction with my services to the highest degree possible.
I’m especially interested in chronic disease management, including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and asthma; management of emotional disturbances such as anxiety and depression; preventive care including screening and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, reproductive health management, nutritional health, and cancer screenings.
How I stay healthy and happy
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, organic vegetable and fruit gardening, nature walks, and cycling.
