Nurse Practitioner, a degree for nurses who complete master’s-level training and board certification in order to practice medicine. As nurses, NPs bring a special sort of caring to their work. Alternate degrees include ANP (Adult Nurse Practitioner), FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner), and WHNP (Women's Health Nurse Practitioner).
I listen actively and intently to my patients as they express their health concerns, needs, and goals. I have a warm, non-judgmental, and knowledgeable approach where I serve as a guide for patients so they can make informed health decisions based on scientific evidence, my clinical practice experience, and their personal preferences. I regard most importantly the well-being of my patients in mind and body collectively and I strive to achieve patient satisfaction with my services to the highest degree possible.
I’m especially interested in chronic disease management, including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and asthma; management of emotional disturbances such as anxiety and depression; preventive care including screening and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, reproductive health management, nutritional health, and cancer screenings.
How I stay healthy and happy
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, organic vegetable and fruit gardening, nature walks, and cycling.
