Physician Assistant, an advanced practice degree for primary care providers who undergo extensive practical training and board certification, and are licensed to practice medicine including the full range of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
Hi, I am Danielle! My path to medicine began in mental health, where I spent over a decade working as a psychotherapist supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and trauma. That experience continues to shape how I practice medicine today. I approach patient care with curiosity, empathy, and a deep respect for each person’s story, recognizing that mental and physical health are closely connected. I completed my Physician Assistant training at Northeastern University in Boston. My decision to pursue medicine was influenced not only by my background in mental health, but also by my own frustrating experiences navigating the healthcare system. Those experiences reinforced my belief that patients deserve to feel heard, taken seriously, and supported in understanding what is happening in their bodies. I believe patients know their bodies best, and I work collaboratively with them to thoughtfully investigate their concerns. During my training, I was most drawn to clinical settings where I could consider the whole patient rather than focusing on a single system or organ. Symptoms in one area of the body often have roots elsewhere, and understanding those connections requires looking at the bigger picture. While specialization brings valuable expertise, it can also fragment care. In my role as a primary care provider, I am able to serve as a central point of connection for patients, helping navigate complexity and coordinate care. Continuity of care is equally important to me. Much like psychotherapy, primary care is grounded in relationships and trust that develop over time. I value getting to know patients beyond a single visit and supporting them as their health and life circumstances change. I also have a special interest in caring for members of the LGBTQ+ community and supporting patients seeking gender-affirming care in a respectful and safe healthcare environment.
How I stay healthy and happy
I love spending time with my 2 silly animals who are best friends: My dog Rhue and my cat Mowgli. I also enjoy being near the water and playing pickleball.
