Courtney Martin, PA
Wake Forest
Physician Assistant, an advanced practice degree for primary care providers who undergo extensive practical training and board certification, and are licensed to practice medicine including the full range of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
My clinical focus is aimed at empowering my patients to reach their health goals in a way that fits their unique lives. My background in sports medicine as a certified athletic trainer shapes my approach to injury prevention, performance, and recovery along with patient's more typical primary care needs. I also have experience with common joint injections to help patients manage pain and stay active. I value prevention when possible through nutrition, movement, and shared goal setting, partnering with patients to build sustainable, long-term health.
How I stay healthy and happy
To stay happy and healthy, I engage in a mix of movement, anything that stimulates my mind, and spending time outdoors. I enjoy lifting weights, hiking, skiing, and golfing. I also love reading, planning my next travel adventure, and adopting new hobbies. I also assist in running a monthly vintage clothing and antiques market. Most of this is done in the company of my miniature goldendoodle, Aspen.
