I started my career in Human Service work in 2003 working with Co-occurring Disorders and Mental Health. I have worked in every Level Of Care for mental health treatment throughout my career in psychiatric Hospitals and non-profit settings. I have worked with adults and adolescence and numerous special populations including Veterans, LGBTQ+, Parolees, Domestic Violence Victims, and Unhoused. I organized and developed one of the first Police Assisted Recovery Programs in California as a contracted Social Worker, aiding the Officers in the field and on calls. I use Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral approaches and believe in the healing power of humor and connection.
While I work with a wide range of people and issues, I have special expertise in: Anxiety & Panic, Bereavement, Grief & Loss, Coping with Medical Illnesses, Depression, Stress, Substance Use & Misuse
How I stay healthy and happy
I live to spend time with my 3 children, painting, and playing the Bagpipes.
