Catherine Hood, NP
Tysons
Nurse Practitioner, an advanced practice degree for primary care providers who complete master’s-level training and board certification and who practice medicine independently. Related degrees include ANP (Adult Nurse Practitioner), FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner), WHNP (Women's Health Nurse Practitioner), and APNP (Advance Practice Nurse Practitioner).
I view health care as a partnership built on trust and collaboration. I take the time to understand each patient’s unique needs so we can work together toward their health goals. From preventing illness and managing chronic conditions to supporting mental well-being, my goal is to help every patient feel empowered and cared for throughout their health journey.
How I stay healthy and happy
During the work week, when I'm not in the clinic, I'm usually teaching nurse practitioner students at my alma mater. To stay happy and healthy, I try to spend time outdoors, usually in the form of chasing my two toddlers. I also love trying new restaurants and traveling.
