Billy Huynh, MD
Berkeley
Doctor of Medicine, a common medical school degree for physicians. MDs at One Medical typically specialize in family medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics or pediatrics.
Over the years, I have refined my practice to reflect a holistic approach that considers the whole person — body, mind, spirit and emotions — for optimal care.
I'm a strong advocate for the shared decision making approach with patients, emphasizing strong patient education and addressing patient values, goals and concerns to place the patient at the center of their own care. People treated by me are able to weigh the information given with their own preferences and values and we collaborate to form a plan together. In this way, I've found great success in allowing patients to actively participate in the medical decision making process, which is reflected by improved outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Given the option, I will often recommend the least invasive treatment course and when possible, I try to offer solutions that do not involve prescription medication.
How I stay healthy and happy
I play casual volleyball and ultimate frisbee. I love searching for new good eats; I equally enjoy not cooking. At home, I tend to an adopted cat and my plants in my spare time.
