Working in acute care, I strive for a balance between a rapid and thorough assessment of patient complaints all while establishing an open line of communication and dialogue where the patient and I can both work together to optimize their care. I approach every patient interaction with empathy, recognizing that any trip to the clinic can be stressful. Providing reassurance and addressing anxiety is just as important as the clinical diagnosis.
How I stay healthy and happy
Two passions of mine that keep me happy and healthy are woodworking and music. I got into woodworking when my family and I bought a “fixer-upper” about ten years ago and my woodworking skills have gown with each new project. Why buy when you can make and create. My other passion is the piano, and honestly it’s more of an obsession. Chopin, Debussy, Evans, Brubeck, Monk, Peterson, and Guaraldi are all major influences of mine. If I’m not hanging out with my family you can likely find me at the piano.
