Nurse Practitioner, a degree for nurses who complete master’s-level training and board certification in order to practice medicine. As nurses, NPs bring a special sort of caring to their work. Alternate degrees include ANP (Adult Nurse Practitioner), FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner), and WHNP (Women's Health Nurse Practitioner).
I believe in collaborating with patients to help them determine what health and wellness means for their unique lives. My practice is to take a comprehensive approach and to educate patients to be active participants in their care. My areas of expertise include reproductive sexual health, adolescent health, and culturally competent health prevention education.
