Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine, or DOs, are fully licensed and board-certified physicians who practice in all areas of medicine. DOs emphasize a whole-person approach to treatment and receive extra training in the musculoskeletal system called osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). DOs at One Medical typically practice in the field of family medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, or internal medicine, and may also integrate OMT.
I have devoted my life to working in healthcare, initially as a registered nurse before becoming a physician. I chose family medicine because I enjoy practicing comprehensive health care and establishing long term doctor-patient partnerships with people of all ages. I am passionate about providing preventative health care and helping people achieve optimal physical and mental health through making healthy lifestyle choices.
How I stay healthy and happy
I enjoy doing anything that involves spending time with my children and husband. Some of our favorite things to do together include cooking and baking, hiking, walking the dogs, going on road trips, attending sporting events and watching movies. I stay healthy by eating a whole foods diet and exercising regularly. I love waking early to enjoy quiet and peaceful mornings, which is the perfect time for me to meditate and reflect while watching the sunrise.
