Meet One Medical Bellevue’s Russel Goldman, MD
Name: Russel Goldman
How long have you been with One Medical? 3 months
How long have you lived in the Bellevue area? 24 years
Why do you enjoy working for One Medical? Everyone is on board with One Medical’s mission. That means everyone — from the admin checking you in at the front desk to the provider examining you and every person behind the scenes — is committed to providing patient-centered care in a warm, welcoming and compassionate environment; making the patient experience convenient, seamless, frustration-free and one that surpasses expectations; and maintaining a culture of collaboration and collegiality where every contribution and opinion is valued and invested in the greater good.
Why is One Medical a great fit for Bellevue? The people of Bellevue are sophisticated, tech-savvy, and often have tight and demanding schedules. At One Medical, we are able to consistently meet their needs while simultaneously providing exceptional healthcare.
What areas of healthcare are you most passionate about? I love educating patients on how to achieve and maintain good health, age with wellness, and support their efforts to be fully functional and enjoy a good quality of life for as long as possible.
What’s one of your favorite patient stories? A patient of mine in a very high-stress position had failed multiple cycles of fertility treatment and was very despondent. After discussing her situation, I suggested she take two weeks off to relax in Hawaii without a phone or computer. I light-heartedly even gave her a prescription to do just that! She did, and, six weeks after her return, had a positive pregnancy test!
What are your favorite neighborhood spots? Maydenbauer Beach Park, Carillon Point, Bellevue Botanical Garden, happy hour at Pearl or Bake’s Place Bistro and Music Bar.
What do you do for fun in the Bellevue area? I love exploring our great dining options and, of course, enjoy the many activities afforded by Lake Washington.
How do you stay healthy in the Bellevue area? I take advantage of the abundant natural offerings of the Northwest – outdoor activities on the lake and trails, fresh organic produce, and, of course, working in an environment like One Medical 🙂
