Today, we are thrilled to share that Doug Sweeny is joining One Medical as Chief Marketing Officer.
Over Doug’s career, he has excelled as both a brand storyteller and performance marketer, leading marketing for iconic, global brands including Nest, Levi’s, adidas, and General Motors EV1. He’s excited to add One Medical — the fastest growing independent primary care practice on a mission to transform health care — to that list.
At Nest, Doug was the brand’s first Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), leading marketing from its startup days through the company’s rapid growth following Google acquisition. He oversaw every aspect of the brand’s consumer experience, turning it into a household name in smart home technology. Nest is one of the fast growing hardware brands and is a case study on how to build and scale a brand from scratch.
Prior to Nest, Doug was VP of Global Marketing for Levi’s where he was selected by Advertising Age as one of the Top 50 Innovative Marketers. He started his career working for creative agencies including Chiat Day, Hal Riney and Partners, and AKQA. Doug is a senior advisor to Google Ventures, a variety of startups, and frequent guest lecturer at Stanford School of Business, Syracuse University iSchool, and Haas School of Business.
