As president and chief executive officer, Amir is focused on delivering better health through outstanding, coordinated clinical care; innovative digital technology; and the highest levels of service, access, and engagement. Previously, as EVP and divisional CEO of UnitedHealth Group’s Optum division, he oversaw a number of business lines focused on helping to make the health system work better for everyone. Prior to Optum, Amir was president and CEO of Stanford Health Care where he helped raise patient experience and quality scores to the highest levels in the nation, grow a regional network of care settings, and advance digital health and corporate partnerships in the heart of Silicon Valley. Amir also previously served as COO for the UCLA Health System, and has been awarded the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Northern California in recognition of his role in innovation and industry transformation. He holds MBA and MHSA degrees from the University of Michigan.
As the chief financial officer, Garrick oversees all financial matters for the company and leads the teams responsible for financial planning and analysis, accounting, and investment strategy. Garrick brings extensive operational finance, private equity, and capital market experience. Most recently, he was executive vice president and CFO of HealthGrades. Prior to HealthGrades, Garrick was a principal and investment professional at Vestar Capital Partners, working on numerous management buyouts, recapitalizations, and growth equity investments, and he served as a member of the board of directors for several Vestar companies.
With decades of leadership experience and clinical experience in population health, Jeff Dobro closely supports large employers and plan sponsors as chief medical officer. In addition to ensuring quality outcomes in the enterprise, Jeff also oversees value-based clinical design and contracting to help pioneer the industry shift from volume to value, putting patient results first. He has previously served in leadership roles at Redbrick Health and Willis Towers Watson, and completed his medical specialty training at New York University where he continues to teach as a board-certified rheumatologist.
Raj, a practicing doctor, is focused on delivering exceptional healthcare for individuals and populations as the chief quality officer. He leads the quality and safety, value and innovation, and data science teams. Raj brings over 17 years of experience in leading clinical outcomes improvement in a variety of settings. Previously, he served as chief quality officer, associate dean for quality, and clinical professor of medicine at Stanford. Prior to that, Raj was the patient safety officer and associate chief medical officer at Rush University Medical Center — helping them achieve top national rankings on outcomes and efficiency among academic medical centers. He teaches physician leadership development programs at Harvard, Stanford, and UC San Diego. Raj went to medical school at Rush, completed a fellowship in healthcare informatics at Harvard and MIT, and earned his MPH in clinical effectiveness at Harvard.
Beth brings extensive experience to her role as general counsel. Prior to joining, she served as general counsel for several public companies in the technology sector. These include Redback Networks, a networking equipment provider that was acquired by Ericsson; Commerce One, an enterprise software provider; and Scient Corporation, a technology services company. She has significant corporate and commercial experience representing both established and emerging growth companies, including public offerings and private investments, mergers and acquisitions, technology transactions and legal operations and infrastructure development.
Kimber is the chief technology officer, working to scale the technology innovations that underpin the re-invented doctor’s office and create a fully connected health engagement platform. Prior to joining, Kimber gained valuable experience at Box where she was most recently senior director of web application engineering, leading a number of engineering teams behind the growing commercial success of the company. Before that, Kimber co-founded and ran her own software company, Increo, which was acquired by Box. She is Chairman of the Board for the San Francisco Circus Center and is also an amateur circus artist.
Christine is the chief people officer and has been instrumental in developing the department from the ground-up, selecting a talented team of HR and recruitment professionals. She has experience with rapid-growth companies and brings innovative HR solutions to meet the needs of quickly growing organizations. Prior to joining, Christine served as a founding member of the Virgin America team that brought the company from incubation to an award-winning airline.
Doug is focused on providing the very highest level of care and service for every One Medical member every time. Prior to joining One Medical, Doug served as Vice President of Strategic Operations at Optum, Chief Operating Officer at Stanford Health Care ValleyCare, and Vice President of Clinical Operations at Stanford Health Care. In addition, Doug was the Chief Administrative Officer at UCLA Medical Center Santa Monica, Executive Director of Operative Services, and founding Director of the UCLA Performance Excellence Department.
As the head of sales and client services, Pete leads the team that helps businesses and organizations lower healthcare costs, improve health outcomes, and keep employees engaged in their wellness through the power of primary care. Before joining One Medical, Pete spent 11 years driving sales, developing new revenue streams, and managing sales teams in a variety of leadership positions at TriNet, an HR solutions company. He most recently served as TriNet’s Vice President of North American Sales. Prior to his tenure there, Pete had his own consulting business.
Tom is the visionary behind One Medical, which he founded in San Francisco in 2007. Previously, Tom served as chief medical officer, editor-in-chief, and lead designer of mobile applications for Epocrates – currently in use by millions of health care professionals worldwide to reduce medication errors. Tom is a board-certified internist who completed training at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He received his bachelor’s degree from Yale University, MD from the University of Washington School of Medicine, and MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
