There is a garage on the ground level of Embarcadero Center (entrance on Davis or Front, between Sacramento and Clay.) We validate so that the first hour is free from 10am-5pm; beyond the first hour, parking is $4/hour. Limited metered street parking is also available.

Drawing on her strong background in evidence-based medicine, Maryam emphasizes preventive care and enjoys establishing long-term relationships with her patients. Compassionate and understanding, she listens intently to her patients' needs and engages them in the medical decision-making process. She gained experience volunteering at St. Mary's Hospital and spent several years in family practice in Alameda. Maryam earned her MD from Baqai Medical College and completed her residency in Family Medicine at UCSF's Fresno campus as well as completing an earlier residency in Emergency Medicine in Pakistan. She is fluent in Urdu, Hindi and Arabic, and is board-certified in Family Medicine.
Tamer emphasizes prevention as the most effective way to maximize his patients' long-term health and treat issues such as cardiovascular disease and kidney disease. Warm and knowledgeable, he is committed to forming comfortable bonds with his patients by which they can work together to manage ongoing health concerns and set priorities for care. Tamer earned his MD from the University of Connecticut and completed his residency in internal medicine at Yale University.

As a compassionate family physician, Maureen combines considerable medical knowledge with a careful listening ear, collaborating with patients and partnering with them to work toward their health goals. She has extensive expertise in the treatment and prevention of HIV and Hepatitis C and has a special interest in women's health issues, pain management and preventive care. Having earned her MD from the University of Southern California School of Medicine, Maureen went on to complete her residency in Family Medicine. She has been practicing primary care since 1986 in a variety of clinical settings, including private practice, abroad in Ethiopia and Liberia and most recently for the San Francisco Department of Public Health. She is board-certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
Zeljko brings international experience and extensive training in integrative medicine to One Medical Group. His global perspective is reflected in his relaxed, empathic practice style and in his seamless fusion of evidence-based and alternative approaches. Fluent in five languages, Zeljko has lived and studied throughout Europe and the United States, has spent a distinguished year as a chief resident, and has earned high honors and numerous teaching awards along the way. He is certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Holistic Medicine and also holds a master's degree in exercise physiology.
Andrew focuses on preventive medicine, chronic disease management and patient empowerment through education and use of health information technology. He considers every office visit to be an opportunity to work on all aspects of a patient's health. After his undergraduate studies at Stanford, Andrew received his MD from the University of Colorado, where he also earned a PhD in immunology and microbiology and went on to complete a residency in internal medicine at Stanford University Medical Center. He is certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Tom specializes in primary care internal medicine with an emphasis on preventive health, complex cases and quality improvement. He graduated from Yale University and the University of Washington School of Medicine, and completed his residency at Harvard's Brigham and Women's Hospital before serving as editor-in-chief for the widely used drug reference application Epocrates. He then founded One Medical Group as a step toward improving primary care delivery. Though he has limited appointment availability, Tom works with an excellent group of colleagues who share his commitment to high-quality patient care and service.

Greg listens to his patients and develops a comfortable rapport to create an environment conducive to open communication. Compassionate, understanding, and approachable, Greg is especially interested in the treatment of dermatological issues, men's health, and HIV. He completed his undergraduate degree at West Virginia University. Greg then received his master's from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health, and gained experience in the field in San Francisco, at Mission Neighborhood Health Center. He is certified through the NCCPA, is an assistant professor at Samuel Merritt University, and is certified through the American Academy of HIV Medicine as a HIV specialist.
Jennie puts patients at ease with her combination of sophisticated clinical skills and Southern charm. She is proficient in all aspects of primary care and cites good communication and accessibility as the cornerstones of her practice philosophy. Jennie received her bachelor's degree in preventive medicine from the University of Georgia, where she graduated magna cum laude and went on to study at the Medical University of South Carolina, again graduating at the top of her class. She is certified with the NCCPA.
Desiree is committed to creating treatment plans that are tailored to each patient's unique situation, rather than practicing one-size-fits-all medicine. With extensive experience in internal medicine practices, she is passionate about everything from urgent care to handling chronic illnesses like hypertension and diabetes. After studying food science and human nutrition at the University of Florida, Desiree received her master's degree through the Physician Assistant program at the School of Allied Health Science at the University of South Alabama. She is certified through the NCCPA and has been a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants since 2005.
Starting in July, Ellen will be seeing prenatal patients.
Attentive and approachable, Ellen is sensitive to the unique needs of each individual patient. She values preventive medicine and focuses on building and maintaining relationships with patients in order to help them achieve healthier lives. She has experience in adult and adolescent primary care, urgent care, and reproductive and women's health, and she is especially interested in treating hypertension, diabetes, asthma, hyperlipidemia, and sexually transmitted infections. Ellen completed her undergraduate training at UC Berkeley and received her master's of science in nursing from UCSF.
Hana brings compassion and patience to the exam room and fully embraces One Medical Group's patient-centered approach to medicine. She emphasizes preventive health and holistic care and is especially interested in treating orthopedic injuries, infectious diseases and diabetes. After completing her undergraduate degree at UCLA and earning her master's from George Washington University, Hana gained experience as a physician assistant in primary care and emergency medicine in New York. She speaks Spanish, French and Japanese and is certified with the NCCPA.
Nutrition and Lifestyle
Karyn is dedicated to enhancing people's lives through nutrition. She firmly believes that whenever we consume anything, it affects not just how we feel immediately afterwards but also our future health. As a Certified Nutrition Consultant, she listens compassionately and helps patients design diet and lifestyle plans that are customized to their goals. And, as a Certified Natural Chef, she advises patients on bringing their plans to fruition in the kitchen. She is a graduate of Bauman College and The British College of Nutrition and Health, and a One Medical provider since 2008. Karyn is a member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals, and the Institute of Functional Medicine.
Primary and urgent care appeal to Dena because they allow her to have a broad scope of practice while building relationships with her patients. She was drawn to working at One Medical Group because of the innovative style, quality-improvement processes, and high patient and provider satisfaction. Dena is particularly interested in dermatology, family planning, and sports injuries, and she makes it a point to close each visit by making sure all of her patient’s questions and concerns have been addressed. In addition to cycling, running, hiking, traveling, tennis, and terrarium-building, Dena is a member of the volunteer group, “My Own Two Hands – Bay Area,” and has donated her time to organizations like GLIDE, SF Food Bank, SF Botanical Gardens, and Project Homeless Connect. Born in Eugene, Oregon and raised in San Diego, California, Dena originally relocated to San Francisco after her undergraduate studies to work at a non-profit in adolescent health and to explore a new city. Before returning to graduate school, Dena volunteered for two and a half years in rural Paraguay with the Peace Corps, during which time she recognized her desire to become a health care provider. Upon her return, Dena went on to earn a Masters in Public Health at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health as well as a Masters in Nursing as an Adult Nurse Practitioner at UCSF.
