Our Spear Street doctor's office is at Spear and Howard. The building has a Starbucks on the ground floor. Unfortunately, bikes are not allowed inside the building but there is supervised parking in the garage below.

David creates an attentive rapport with his patients using an evidence-based and holistic approach to treatment. He is particularly interested in patients with musculoskeletal injuries, concussions, and in using fitness for health promotion. As a sports medicine specialist, David focuses on maximizing the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle while avoiding injuries. He received his master's in public health from Emory University and his doctorate of medicine from Tulane University School of Medicine. David completed his residency and chief residency in internal medicine at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, and his Fellowship in Sports Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR. David is board certified in internal medicine and sports medicine.

Spencer practices relationship-centered primary care, blending a traditional sensibility with up-to-date clinical knowledge and a strong focus on disease prevention. He enjoys getting to know his patients well, educating and empowering them to participate in health care decisions. Spencer completed his residency training at UCSF and practiced primary care, urgent care, sports medicine and adolescent medicine throughout the Bay Area before joining One Medical Group. He is certified with the American Board of Family Medicine.
Philip is devoted to providing excellent evidence-based treatment, with an emphasis on open communication and education. Experienced in urgent and primary care, with an emphasis on HIV management, Philip seeks to help his patients discover a fulfilling, healthy life. He is deeply committed to caring for groups who may have been marginalized by the health care system in the past: the LGBT community, individuals living with HIV/AIDS, racial and ethnic minorities, and non-English speakers. Philip is passionate about staying both physically and intellectually fit, enjoying outdoor sports and strength training in addition to reading, travel, and learning new languages. He received his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Medicine, and completed his residency with the UCSF Primary Care Internal Medicine Program. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

As a primary care nurse practitioner, Bay Area native Bronwen Peternell calls upon her personal passion for living a healthy, balanced life to empower patients. She believes One Medical Group’s model resonates with her practice philosophy of integrating mind, body, and spirit and emphasizing patient education. Bronwen considers herself a holistic healer and builds cooperative relationships with her patients. 'If you seek vitality, balance, and partnership, I am your clinician,' she says. 'I like to provide ample information so that my patients can make informed decisions about their health and be equipped in the long run.' Bronwen values her patients’ stories, listens intently in order to develop effective, sustainable treatment plans, and offers reassurance and guidance along the way. As an ironman triathlete, she loves treating musculoskeletal injuries, restoring function and facilitating recovery to return patients to peak performance. She also enjoys family practice, managing acute and chronic illnesses, and providing general health maintenance, including well-woman exams. Bronwen graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Biology and finished among the top of her class at Yale School of Nursing, where she earned a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Family Practice. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she pursued groundbreaking, scientific research at UC Santa Cruz and Stanford School of Medicine. She is board-certified in Family Practice by ANCC.
Warm and empathetic, Jess enjoys working collaboratively with patients to achieve their personal health goals. By striving to offer an open-minded, relationship-centered approach to primary care, he creates individual care plans tailored to each patient's concerns. Jess received his bachelor's degree from Smith College and his master's from UCSF. Jess has special interests in HIV disease and transgender health. He is board-certified through the AANP.
Compassionate and collaborative, Rebecca is skilled in making patients feel heard and providing them with effective care grounded in evidence-based medicine. She is adept at caring for a range of health issues, particularly Women’s health and urgent care needs. Rebecca earned her master’s in the family nurse practitioner specialty from UCSF. Rebecca is board-certified in family medicine through the AANP
