How We Handle Insurance at One Medical Group
We bill your insurance provider for each visit, and you cover the co-payment or deductible, just like you would at any doctor's office. The amount that you owe depends on the specific health insurance plan you have. If you have any questions, — call the number on your insurance card to learn more about your coverage. For your co-payment or for those who prefer to pay out-of-pocket, we accept checks, debit and credit cards. For those without insurance, read more here.
For members with high deductible PPO plans and/or HSAs, you may prefer to pay for the visit out-of-pocket. View our fee schedule to learn more.
For those with an HMO plan, it's important for you to call your health plan (phone number on your insurance card) before your first visit and select one of our physicians as your PCP. This will reduce any insurance hassles for you later on and allow us to make any referrals and order tests and prescriptions on your behalf.
“Being able to get same day appointments and having the doctor spend quality time answering my questions more than pays for the membership fee. Plus they take my insurance!” — Michael T., New York City
“For a year I found no good doctors accepting new patients. A great doctor alone is worth the One Medical annual fee.” — Noah L., Sausalito, CA
