One Medical and Lyft Partner to Provide Greater Access to Testing for Drivers

As governments look to eventually ease social distancing measures and return people to work, One Medical has been leading efforts to offer more widespread COVID-19 testing. In the last month, we have operationalized nearly 20 open-air designated testing sites across the country, and increased our capacity to test thousands of people with coronavirus concerns each day. We are working with local governments, such as the cities of New York and San Francisco, to provide virtual COVID-19 screenings and testing to those in need, and prioritizing greater access to testing for essential workers and vulnerable populations across all of our markets.

Research shows that many carriers of coronavirus are asymptomatic, which is why One Medical is testing patients with COVID-19 concerns regardless of whether they are experiencing symptoms to help better trace silent cases and limit unnecessary exposure.

We are proud to partner with Lyft to provide this important service to drivers, who are offering essential transportation for those in need every day, including healthcare workers and first responders on the frontlines. One Medical is working with Lyft to provide 30-day trial memberships to their drivers in all markets where we have a presence, including on-demand 24/7 virtual care at no cost, and access to COVID-19 testing following a virtual screening by a One Medical provider. Through offering these resources and educational materials for drivers to access convenient testing and follow-up care, One Medical and Lyft hope to further protect both riders and drivers by lowering the risk of exposure to asymptomatic carriers.
