About Lora
Lora Smith pursued a career in primary care because she believes it is the cornerstone of keeping our nation healthy. She feels One Medical Group’s longer appointment times, accessibility, and mission to change the face of primary care allow her to focus on the priorities that are most important to her as a provider. Lora’s style is warm, caring, accessible, evidence-based, and collaborative. She particularly enjoys treating issues related to women’s health, preventative medicine, chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia, and acute care. She always makes time to listen to each patient’s concerns and involve each individual in his or her own care decisions. She enjoys getting to know her patients and making sure they feel comfortable so she can collaborate with them on plans to reach their health goals. “It is very important to me that my patients leave satisfied,” she says. To stay healthy, Lora runs five days a week and does light resistance strength training. On the weekends, she and her family hit the great outdoors for a hike, bike ride, or camping adventure. Lora also loves to travel in order to explore and experience new cultures. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences from Iowa State University and a master’s of science in physician assistant studies and a master’s degree in public health from Touro University. She is certified with the NCCPA.
