Santa Monica native Gilbert Lee pursued a career in primary care because of the versatility and opportunity to treat a wide spectrum of ages and ailments and educate patients about preventative care. He believes One Medical Group is on the forefront of incorporating technology into healthcare in order to improve, enhance, and personalize the medical experience, thus improving the doctor-patient relationship. Gilbert believes taking the time to educate patients is critical in building trust and successfully preventing and treating illness, and he cares for his patients as though they were family members. Because diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity run in his family and are some of the top ailments plaguing society, Gilbert feels a vested interest in treating these issues. He believes nutrition and fitness are the foundation in living a long and healthy life. To stay healthy, Gilbert enjoys hitting the gym, biking, hiking, and playing basketball and tennis. He considers himself a big foodie and loves trying bizarre or exotic foods. Gilbert attended UCLA for his undergraduate education and Chicago’s Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science for his medical degree. He is ABFM-certified.
