How We Handle Insurance at One Medical Group
We bill your insurance provider for each visit, and you cover the co-payment or deductible, just like you would at any doctor's office. The amount that you owe depends on the specific health insurance plan you have. If you have any questions, call the number on your insurance card to learn more about your coverage. Learn more about medical insurance on our blog. For your co-payment or for those who prefer to pay out-of-pocket, we accept checks, debit and credit cards. We even try to make health care affordable for those without insurance.
For members with high deductible PPO plans and/or HSAs, you may prefer to pay for the visit out-of-pocket. View our fee schedule to learn more.
For those with an HMO plan, it's important for you to call your health plan (phone number on your insurance card) before your first visit and select one of our physicians as your PCP. This will reduce any insurance hassles for you later on and allow us to make any referrals and order tests and prescriptions on your behalf.
Affordable Care Act/Get Covered Illinois
We are pleased to participate in the following ACA/Exchange plans: BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois, Aetna, Humana and Coventry.
We participate with exchange plans that provide us with the best opportunity to provide the high level of care and service you expect from One Medical. Our goal is to participate with as many plans as possible, and we expect to continue to expand the list of participating plans over time.

“Being able to get same day appointments and having the doctor spend quality time answering my questions more than pays for the membership fee. Plus they take my insurance! ” — Michael T., New York City
“The service is great for busy people like me. The time that I save over the course of a year is definitely worth the fee.” — Christoper W., San Francisco
