Erica Matluck

Erica Matluck, ND, FNP, is a naturopath, nurse practitioner, and yoga instructor. This multifaceted San Francisco-based provider helps her patients combine conventional and alternative medicine to understand and treat their health issues, and develop habits for long-lasting health. Here, she talks about the most beneficial lifestyle change, her favorite workout, and something every patient should know.

What do you love about working at One Medical?

Working with inspiring colleagues and patients.

If I hadn’t gone into medicine, I would have…

…definitely gone into fashion.

What is one healthy everyday lifestyle change you think everyone should make?

Meditate!

If you could change one part of health care, what would it be?

More emphasis on patient education.

What’s your favorite workout?

A bhakti flow class with Rusty Wells.

When you work out, what’s on your playlist?

If I’m doing yoga, anything by Wah! If I’m running, it’s usually a mix of current and old school, upbeat tunes.

What’s your favorite three-ingredient dinner?

Kale, olive oil, and nutritional yeast.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Philz coffee.

Favorite hobby?

Traveling.

What’s the most common health misconception you hear?

That the formula for good health is one size fits all. I believe we define our health goals individually and design our own unique paths to get there.

What’s one thing you wish all patients knew?

That they are the experts when it comes to understanding their bodies.

Here to keep you healthy. And informed.
