Michelle enjoys getting to know her patients on an individual level and within the context of their communities, seeking to understand how environmental factors may be contributing to their health issues. She gives her patients space in which to voice their concerns, and fully engages patients in the medical decision-making process. After graduating with honors from Stanford University, Michelle went on to earn her PhD in biological sciences from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and her MD from Stanford Medical School. She completed her residency through the San Jose-O'Connor Family Medicine Residency Program and gained extensive knowledge of travel medicine through her over 10 years of postdoctoral research of HIV, tuberculosis and malaria in Africa. Before joining One Medical, she practiced family medicine at Palo Alto Medical Foundation, focusing on pediatrics, women's health, lifestyle modification, travel medicine and chronic disease management. She is board-certified in both Family Medicine and Integrative Holistic Medicine.
Jenny focuses on forming long-term relationships with her patients and providing them with comprehensive preventive care and wellness education. With her extensive experience in integrative primary care, she utilizes herbs, supplements, prescription medications and diet and lifestyle modification to treat complex illnesses such as hypothyroidism, IBS and anxiety. Jenny received her naturopathic medical degree from Bastyr University and completed her residency at the Integrated Health Center, both in Seattle. Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine
Michelle uses a combination of acupuncture and Chinese herbs to treat her patients' imbalances and restore well-being. Her skills are applicable to a wide range of illnesses, including migraine and tension headaches, insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome, menstrual irregularities, menopausal symptoms and chronic sinusitis. Michelle is a graduate of NYU and the Meiji College of Oriental Medicine in Berkeley. She is licensed with the California State Acupuncture Board. Joanne brings extensive experience, expertise, and a profound interest in emergency medicine to her delivery of urgent care. She consistently invests in building rapport and trust with her patients and firmly believes in the positive impact that education and clear communication can have on their health. Joanne was awarded the Commendation Medal from the Department of Health and Human Services for her service in public health. She graduated first in her class from The F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences where she received her MD, and she completed her residency at the Madigan Army Medical Center. Passionate about opera, Joanne has been a physician for the San Francisco Opera for over ten years and also serves as the Lead Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor at Stanford University. She is board-certified in Emergency Medicine.
