Richard Lee chose to pursue primary care because of the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with patients in order to better individualize care. He joined One Medical because of its emphasis on patient-centered care and its focus on modern medicine and technology. Richard describes his practice style as caring and patient with a focus on active listening, and he's a strong proponent of preventative medicine. He's especially interested in treating issues like hypertension, diabetes, and lipid disorders. To stay fit, he enjoys running, kite surfing, and snowboarding, and he loves traveling internationally and learning about other cultures. Richard grew up in Southern California and found his way back to the west coast after spending time in New York because he’s drawn to the laid-back SoCal vibe. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychobiology from UCLA, attended David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City. He's board-certified in Internal Medicine.
