We work with your insurance just like any other doctor's office, meaning we bill your insurance provider for each visit and you cover your copayment or coinsurance and your deductible. The amount you will owe depends on the specific health insurance plan you have and the services you receive. For payment in the office, we accept credit and debit cards and checks, debit and credit cards as payment for your visit.

If I have insurance, do I also need to pay the annual membership fee?

Your insurance applies to office visits, lab tests, and other in-office services. The membership fee enables us to provide you with important services beyond what insurance covers like 24/7 virtual care, on-demand treatment on our mobile app, mobile prescription renewals, and direct email access to your provider. How much will a visit cost me?

The exact cost for a visit, or your "patient responsibility" as it is called, depends on your insurance coverage and the services you receive. If you have more specific questions about your coverage, call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and they can provide a more personalized answer. What kind of insurance plan do I have?

PPO, HMO, EPO? It gets complicated, we know. In most cases, your plan type is listed on the front of your insurance card. Can't find it? Just give your insurance carrier a call and they'll be able to help. If you have an HSA or FSA, you may be able to be reimbursed for your membership fee payment. To find out, check with your HSA/FSA provider.

Do you accept Medicare?

Yes! We are in-network with Medicare plans to better serve our members 65 and older or those with qualifying medical conditions. Call 617-419-2893 to learn more about how One Medical works with Medicare.

What if I don't have health insurance?

You can still see a One Medical provider without breaking the bank. Whether you need a physical, a vaccination, or want to address specific health concerns, we make it affordable.
