Whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, fitting in a workout while you’re on the road can be tough. Hotel gyms can be a let down (or nonexistent). And researching the local landscape probably doesn’t fit into your busy schedule.

But you can find gyms and studios offering workouts and classes on your timetable almost anywhere in the country, thanks to the latest crop of apps made for discovering on-the-go workouts. Be sure to download your favorite workout-finder before your next trip!

 

1. ClassPass Flex

What it is: ClassPass is a monthly membership to boutique fitness classes including FlyWheel, Pure Barre, and more. Members can take as many classes per month as they like and can visit the same studio up to three times per monthly membership cycle. Regular membership applies only to the user’s home location, but the premium version—ClassPass Flex—allows users to work out in nearly 30 cities across the US.

2. GoRecess

What it is: GoRecess allows users to find fitness activities in their area and access thousands of options nationwide without being committed to one gym or studio. The app also allows users to connect with workout buddies and reserve a spot in any class instantly.

3. Workout Spots

What it is: Workout Spots lets users find local workout and fitness spots, browse and register for classes, and connect with other active people in the community.
